Due to the variety of the geography, it is possible to  fish in a variety of waters (rivers, estuaries and shores), and practice a variety of styles: classic streamer fishing, dry fly fishing and, on good weather days, sight fishing can be a delight. Our expert guides are fluent in English and will take you to the best fishing.

In this private property the day starts at the mouth of the river where the waters merge with the fjord's salty water and where it is also possible to watch gracious dolphins.  Next, you can go up the first two kilometers by boat and then easily wade 10 more in the private property of the Marta Valley.  Along the way you will find pools and streams with plenty of rainbow, brown trout and sea trout of around 4 to 10 pounds.

Rio Uspallantes: It is located at around 40 minutes away by boat from the Lodge down the puyuhuapi fjord.  It originates from a volcano, with clear waters and cruising through a wild vegetation.  You can find very different kinds of salmon and sea trout that delight the anglers with spectacular jumps.

Río Cisnes: At one hour away by boat you find this very beautiful river.  Wider than the above mentioned -around 25 meters average navigation- it is flanked between breath-talking cliffs.  Here it is possible to find rainbow, sea and brown trout.

The angling season goes from November through April.  The equipment to be used is similar to the one for West in the United States and Alaska.

Fishing rods number 6 to 8 are recommended with flies from nymphs to steamers, big dries and don’t  forget the classics (caddis and mayflies), they might make you famous.

Weather: Don´t forget that you are going to be in the rain forest, and even dough we are only going to be open in the best weeks of the season, it is possible to have rain. Bring a rain jacket and warm layers, along with t-shirts.
